Task:
Digital communication is dominated by algorithms that reinforce populism, hate and anger - fuelled by likes and shares. As a result, discriminatory and disrespectful content often remains unregulated. Do we need visual feedback that reflects the values behind our words and thus creates a more reflective approach to language?

Idea:
CENSORGLYPHS makes language visible: every comment is interpreted typographically using artificial intelligence. Posts that promote respectful discourse appear appealing and readable, while hateful statements are visually censored. This speculative design project invites everyone to question their use of language and asks whether we really need an AI for everything or whether we are not capable of using language responsibly ourselves.

Solution:
The intelligent font consists of six typefaces that represent parameters such as freedom, objectivity or authoritarianism by means of their morphology. In addition, we used creative coding to create an interactive scenario space in which visitors can immerse themselves in the world of CENSORGLYPHS and test their own input. In this way, CENSORGLYPHS creates a space for reflection on our communication with each other.
