Whether you are a member of the university or an external user, you can set up an online interlibrary loan account at the HAWK libraries. To do so, you must be registered with the respective HAWK library.
To apply for an interlibrary loan account, please use the PDF form on the right. Please scan the completed and signed form and email it to your local library. Once we receive it, we will provide you with information on how to deposit funds into your account.
Each interlibrary loan request costs €1.50, regardless of whether it is successful. This corresponds to one billing unit. You determine the deposit amount for your online interlibrary loan account.
After searching the GBV Union Catalogue (GVK), you can order the desired title by clicking on “order a copy” or “interlibrary loan”. Using the Online-Contents-Database (OLC), you can order articles directly after your search (there is no need to manually enter the article details in the order form).
Enter your user ID and password. You will then receive the order form with the title details already filled in. If you wish to order a copy of a journal article, you must add the following information: year, volume, author, title, and page numbers.
Click on “check order details” and the verified order form will appear. After re-entering your password, submit the order.
You can check the status of your orders by clicking on “interlibrary loan account” entering your user ID and password, and then clicking on the relevant title in the list.
Your orders are sorted chronologically, with the most recent order appearing first. The “processing status” is indicated on the right side of each row.
We will send you an email as soon as your order has arrived and is ready for pickup. Copies of books or journals that you have ordered will be sent to you as electronic documents via email. You can download your order directly using the download link provided.
Delivery will be sent to the email address you have on file in your library account. When placing an interlibrary loan order, please make sure your current email address is listed on the order form!
